How it all began.
When we moved from Hawaii back to the Mainland, our health insurance didn’t move with us. I tried to find short term coverage until my next employer plan and got BOMBARDED by pushy salespeople. I chose the one I thought best and they wouldn’t pay for anything relating to anything in my medical history. I couldn’t get an MRI for a hurt shoulder because I dislocated it 22 YEARS earlier!
I started learning more about health insurance and found that there were plans worth getting, but you had to know how to read insurance documents, and I didn’t. As I learned, I was offered a position as a health coverage advisor. I wanted to ensure that what happened to my family didn’t happen to anyone else, so I started my business as a health coverage advisor.
My husband, Mark, got his license after I had been assisting people with health coverage for 2 years. Between the two of us, we gained contracts with most of the main coverage companies in order to have the best options available to our clients. Our career has given us the privilege of helping people navigate through health insurance, explaining and answering questions so clients can make informed decisions about the best plans for their situation and family. Between us, we are licensed for nearly every state in the US and have cultivated relationships that assist our clients in more than just health insurance.

Mark Harney
I’m Mark Harney, husband and father. I’ve spent most of the past 9 years as a stay-at-home dad since my BA is in Elementary Education. I helped my kids learn to read by the time they were 3 and still spend most of my time taking care of the kids. It’s my favorite job. I’m also a self-employed health insurance advisor and help my wife get the best coverage for our clients. I have ecclectic interests, though most have to do with computers and games. I am also Hard-of-Hearing (HoH), so McGarrity does most of the talking on the phone and I work on the back office
McGarrity Harney
I’m McGarrity (yes, it’s my first name), wife of 16 years, and mommy of 2 cherished little ones (Mercedes and Giovanni). I’m a self-employed health insurance advisor, published author, an MBA, a creative thinker, and a movie buff. I’ve been addicted to books since before I can remember. I read to my kids, listen to audiobooks, and have multiple library cards. I also love to travel and am passing that passion on to my family. Recently, our daghter, Mercedes, just started her own business, so I help her with Mercedes’ Pawsome Bitez in my free time.
